This piece is based upon my obsession with delicate wings - fragile and yet strong enough to fly. In this artwork, I've aimed to capture the luminescence of the dragonfly's wings, and the beautiful patterns of its body.

Each dragonfly is slightly different to the next (I had no idea that Australia has roughly 320-333 different species), and the Australian National Botanic Gardens notes that roughly 314 species have been studied, with varying conservation statuses.
