Description
Size: 50cm x 50cm square
The Sydney Hawk dragonfly is unfortunately listed as a threatened species here in Australia.
These dragonflies are threatened due to river regulation and alteration of flows; water pollution and sedimentation due to land clearing, waste disposal and stormwater runoff; increased controlled burning for new houses that adjoin bushland areas; and chance events such as drought.
*Sadly, local extinctions could greatly affect the survival of the species as a whole due to their rarity.
