This beautiful study of the Australian native Kookaburra has a special place in my heart. This piece is a reminder of the Kookaburra family that lived in my backyard, and particularly an inquisitive one who would often come and wait for a treat outside my window. He would hop back and forth and tap his beak on the timber railing until I rewarded him for his visit.

I love the textured, off-white background of this artwork, and the distinctive patterns of mantels and feathers in their finest details. This is a fan favourite and will not last long!
